Ingredients

1 can black beans, drained and rinsed

1 tablespoon cilantro, fresh or dried, diced

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

4 dashes ground cayenne

1/2 teaspoon paprika

Other Ingredients

  • Black pepper- to taste

Instructions

Step 1:

It is important to rinse canned beans to remove excess salt. After rinsing, add beans to a saucepan with 1/4 cup of water. Heat this combo at medium heat.

Step 2:

Once you start to see steam rising from your mixture, add in the cilantro, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, and black pepper. Stir in the ingredients and leave them on medium heat and stir occasionally for 2 minutes.

Step 3:

After 2 minutes, remove from the heat source and pour the contents into your blender. Mix the contents for at least 30 seconds (less for chunky dip, more for creamier texture).

Step 3:

Serve immediately for a warm dip or cover and place in the fridge for at least an hour for a cooled temperature.
