Ingredients

3/4 cup of nuts, any type, chopped/crushed

1 bar of dark chocolate, ideally 70+% cacao

Other Ingredients

  • 3 dashes of sea salt- optional

Instructions

Step 1:

Optional: Using a knife or food processor, cut up your choices of nuts. We recommend to include a variety of nuts for optimal benefit!

You can choose to leave them whole if you prefer.

Step 2:

Spray or lay parchment paper on a baking tray to prevent sticking.  Cover the tray with nuts and try to keep them close together.

Step 3:

Break up the chocolate bar and place into a bowl. Using the microwave, melt the chocolate in a bowl. Set microwave time in 30 second periods, keeping a close eye on the chocolate. It melts quickly and if left for too long, it can burn.

Step 4:

Once the chocolate is melted, evenly pour it over the nuts.  Sprinkle sea salt over mixture (if using it). Place the tray in the fridge and let cool for at least 15 minutes or until solid.

Step 5:

Once nuts & chocolate are solid, cut or break into pieces that are about 1- 1.5 inches wide. One serving is two pieces. Remember, nuts and chocolate are high in calories, mainly fat. Therefore, you most likely won’t need much to feel satisfied.
