Mexican Hot Chocolate
This delicious, chocolatey beverage is great for a warm treat and, overall, good for your health.
Recipe makes 1 servings.
1 tablespoon cacao (ideally), or cocoa powder
4 ounces low-fat milk, or milk alternative
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
4 ounces of water
1-2 dashes ground cayenne
- 1 teaspoon honey
Bring the milk and water to a boil. Then add all of the ingredients above that you would prefer to have.
Let the ingredients boil at a low-medium heat for at least 5 minutes.
Pour contents into a mug and consider sprinkling cinnamon over the top.
