Golden Milk Latte

1 cup (8 ounces) of low-fat milk, or milk alternative
1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tsp honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Add a dash 1 or 2 of ground black pepper. It helps absorb the turmeric to obtain the health benefits. You will not really taste it.
Bring your milk, or milk alternative, to a boil. Then, add in all of the ingredients. Mix the ingredients in. Let them sit for 2-5 minutes.
Note: you can let it simmer for longer if you want to. It will give a deeper, stronger flavor
Pour the contents into a mug. Consider sprinkling on a dash of cinnamon for a little extra flavor.
Tips & Tricks:
- If you are look for a spicy twist to this drink, add 1-2 dashes of cayenne.
- This can also be done iced. Follow the instructions above and pour over a cup of ice.
