Ingredients

1 can tuna packed in water, drained and rinsed

2 slices whole grain bread

2 slices of tomato

1 ounce cheddar cheese

Other Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoon (2/3 tablespoon) butter
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise

Instructions

Step 1:

Drain and rinse your tuna to remove excess salt. Pat tuna dray with a paper towel and add to a bowl with your mayonnaise. Mix the contents vigorously to spread the flavor and texture.

Step 2:

Stack your tuna on your bread follow by the cheese and tomato and top with the second piece of bread. Press the sandwich together to ensure it sticks together

Step 3:

Heat your pan to medium-low heat. Add your butter, let it melt, and then spread it around the pan. Once melted, add your sandwich flat in the pan and flip to the other side, so both sides have butter.

Step 3:

Let it sit on each side for two minutes and continue to flip the sandwich until the the cheese melts and the bread achieves your ideal toast level.

Note: you can flip earlier if it starts to burn on one side. The idea is to expose the cheese on the inside the the heat so it melts and the bread crisps up, so flip at your own pace if it is burning.
