Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal
Recipe makes 1 serving.

1/2 cup oats
1 cup water
1 tablespoon natural, or sugar free, peanut butter
1 banana, sliced
Bring 1 cup of water to boil. Once boiling (bubbling), add oats, let it come back to a boil.
Add in 1/2 of the banana slices to sauce pan. Let boil for a couple min and then lower heat to simmer.
Keep watch over oats on simmer and stir frequently. Once oats are cooked through (add water if necessary), mix in peanut butter.
Pour peanut butter oats into small bowl and top with remaining banana slices.
Tips & Tricks:
- Although we prefer stovetop, this recipe can absolutely be made in the microwave. You will need to microwave on high for 1-2 minutes stirring after the first minutes, then after 30 seconds.
- You can also opt for nonfat (skim), low fat (1-2%), or alternative milk instead of water. This will add more protein, calcium, and Vitamin D.
- Almond and cashew butter are great alternative instead of peanut butter.
